Annual Weaving Retreat 2025

The annual Coast Willows weaving retreat took place at the beginning of April. Over four days 19 weavers created beautiful willow baskets. The retreat is an opportunity to both share knowledge and support each other in trying new methods. Weavers are developing their own signature styles using favourite willow varieties. The baskets made this year included petite shopping baskets with perfect square corners, globus fruit bowls, washing baskets with a decorative foot, massive trays, and sculptural pieces. The resulting weaving shows just how skilled our group is becoming.
